Rick is a highly innovative and successful hands-on technology leader with extensive experience in modern software engineering, data architecture, information security, and analytics. In recent years, Rick has designed and led development of performant and secure data platforms in healthcare and finance; built software-based control systems for regulating energy between EV charging, solar, and utility power; participated in technical communities; and earned the designation of Alexa Champion by Amazon for his contributions to the community.

Rick’s passion for innovation is stimulated by his love of learning and an immersion in current technology. In his spare time, Rick enjoys a good sci-fi novel, being on the beach, tinkering, photography, and cooking. He is supported by the generous and much-appreciated love from his wife, Karen, and their boy/girl twins.
